My canvas

Wednesday, September 13, 2006

Life comes in a bunch of scrolls,
I picked up one amongst the scores,
Unlacing it, it unrolled to you.

I saw...
To see your carved simplicity,
Miraculous wit and perception.

I wallowed...
Into your inner self,
Deep seated - deep rooted.

I journeyed...
To know your positive radiance,
Your talent and perserverance.

Unmoulding these qualities about you,
I started rolling the scroll back,
But it kept unrolling to tell me.

You were not to be rolled,
And placed in a basket,
But to be ornamented in my mind's casket.

A humnan being is like a canvas. There is a lot of scope to know that person. This is what I discovered when I met this wonderful friend who has been such a beautiful guide to me. I thank her a lot and take the pleasure of posting something which I wrote for her. Cheers!!
